An incredibly popular Essex wedding venue has confirmed that it has closed, with the venue calling customers to let them know that their wedding has been cancelled. Old Essex Barn, located on the outskirts of Kelvedon, is a newly renovated and restored farm converted into a wedding and event venue.
With the most recent addition of a restaurant - the Old Essex Barn offered culinary delight for all visitors. In the heart of the Essex countryside, wedding guests and visitors were consistently being blown away by it's beautiful grounds and breathtaking scenic views on all sides.
However, the venue suddenly shut down on Monday (March 3) - with the director of Old Essex Barn stating that it was "through no fault of his own or his team". EssexLive spoke with Regimantas Trimakas, the director and shareholder of the wedding venue.

Regimantas confirmed that the venue has closed down, saying that this was "very unexpected". He said that brides and wedding planners are beginning to be contacted if the closure will impact them.
He said: "It's just a terrible, terrible situation, to be honest. But I feel really bad about all the people, who had plans. And some of the weddings are next month as well.
"Obviously that is absolutely devastating for us. I feel responsible to let everyone know as soon as possible."
