Gap denotes the distance between the feed belts.
Equipment versionsThe PowerStrip can be fitted with a wide range of components
(magnetically-powered guide tube, pneumatically-powered guide tube,
pneumatic wire guides, feed belt or feed roller feed etc.). For the purpose
of simplicity all procedures in this manual are described with feed belts
and a magnetically-powered guide tube.
Software version
Details of the current software in your PowerStrip can be found in the
Diagnostics menu (Key 5 in the main menu).

transport belt. Before you start the calibration procedure, open the safety shield and remove all
wires. The PowerStrip will take you through the entire calibration procedure which is carried out
in the system parameters screen, with the help of screen texts. The key sequence from the

Setting the Centralizing Force,
Rotary Stripping Unit
The following work should only be carried out be specially trained personnel.
(Schleuniger personnel, the users trained personnel). Turn off the main switch.
Disconnect the power cord.
The centralizing force is set to the maximum at the manufacturers factory. This might mean the
cable centralizers leaving marks on a soft wire. If you therefore wish to reduce the centralizing
force then proceed as described below. The figure shows the Rotary Stripping Unit without its
cover. However, you do not have to remove the cover to adjust the centralizing force:
Loosen the set screw on
the knurled nut.
Hold the cutter head firmly
and rotate the knurled nut
counter clockwise through
180. This reduces the
centralizing force.

procedure.

If you wish to subsequently increase the centralizing force then turn the knurled nut
in a clockwise direction. However, do not turn the knurled nut until it reaches
the stop! The maximum is 90 before the stop.

Schleuniger PowerStrip 9500
Changing Wire Guide Tube,
Rotary Stripping Unit
The maximum diameter opening on the Rotary Stripping Unit is 13 mm. If wires with a smaller
external diameter are to be processed this gap must be reduced by using a corresponding wire
guide tube. This will also enable thin wires to be precisely centralized and the blades protected
during the wire feed.
Standard guide tube 8 mm / Optional kit: 6, 4, 2 mm
The wire guide tubes
are not tightened.
They are held in place
by a rubber o-ring. To
change a guide tube
simply pull this out by
the handle.
