I use this page daily in different languages and I am disappointed with the design change. The new look now rather degrades the UX compared to the old version. It's not a matter of habit, but of adding more time to open pages I use daily. Quick access has suffered for several reasons:

I just want to point out that this is still relevant. Deactivating all unused/empty parameters with one click is a quality of life feature. As at the moment it's not really convenient to click 1by1 every inactive item by scrolling through the list. Especially when you replace infobox and transfer parameters from the old one to another and there are tens of parameters, so you have to make dozens of clicks instead of just one.

What I meant in the last part is that technically there is no way to follow the infobox markup guidelines (option 2) in every case by using the TD+VE pair. Gadgets follow the Wikipedia's agreed specification, not the other way around. TemplateData + VisualEditor mostly don't regarding infoboxes. This is because of technical limitations (the point of this request).
I don't think this is the best place to discuss whether or not the current styling consensus is correct. If you're not using a monospaced font, that's probably your problem. Like if you installed a custom dark theme on wikipedia and started arranging colors that would violate accessibility rules - this will be more critical, but roughly the same situation.
The situation is that people do option 1, but the guidelines require option 2. Option 1 is what allows you to do custom formatting in the current TemplateData, and the more optimal option 2 is just not technically possible right now. In that sense, option 1 doesn't seem optimal either, but at least it automates the current TemplateData formatting state.

Glad it has been pushed so fast. But still it would be nice to be able somehow mass uncheck non-bold parameters with 1 click.

So it could have been the trash icons again, which were all handy for me. Or it could be a single button that removes all the parameters that have no values.

It was worst decision to remove them. I used it a lot and it was much more convenient than what we have now. The time taken to delete unused parameters has increased by 2 times. Instead of quick clicks on empty fields - you now have to look at the list of which ones you want to remove. There is no indication in the list whether the paramter is filled or not.

Supporting this, since all templates on Russian Wikipedia now use (or should use) custom formatting. As an intermediate or alternative, it would be useful to simply add a 4th type of formatting, based on block style, but where the number of spaces is set automatically by the number of characters of the longest parameter in the template.

Probably such a thing should also bypass % symbols in identifiers. If I try to set identifier Trap [EDM] (Q47781397) as Trap%20%5BEDM%D, it converts it to Trap%2520%255BEDM%255D, where each % changes to %25. I supose that it should not work it like this.
