In 1998, All Nippon Airways (ANA) unveiled the first Pokémon jet to the world, carrying the Japanese sensation all over the world. Today, seven airlines operate nine special Pokémon livery jets. We’re here to help you catch ‘em all.
Air Do
Air Do flies 767-300ER JA607A in a Pokémon Rokon livery, operating domestic routes in Japan. The aircraft is most commonly used between Tokyo and Hakodate or Sapporo.
ANA
After years of no Pokémon jets, ANA has recently added two new liveries to its fleet. A 787-9 (JA894A) in Pikachu livery and a 777-300ER (JA784A) in Pokémon Eevee Jet livery. The 787 operates mostly on routes to Southeast Asia from Tokyo, including Bangkok, Manila, and Ho Chi Minh City.
The 777 Eevee Jet flies to London and New York almost exclusively, but does visit San Francisco and Beijing on occasion.
China Airlines
China Airlines’ Pokémon Pikachu Jet A321neo joined the fleet in September 2022. B-18101 can be found most frequently on the Taipei-Busan route, but also operates to Takamatsu, Hanoi, and Kumamoto with some regularity.
Garuda Indonesia (NEW for 2024)
Garuda Indonesia unveiled its first Pokémon livery on a 737-800 on 22 February 2024. PK-GMU operates mostly domestic flights from Garuda’s hub in Jakarta.
Scoot
Scoot’s 787-9 joined the Pokémon jet club during the summer of 2022. 9V-OJJ even features a special Pokémon-themed interior and Pikachu can be found on the inside of the engine nacelle. Scoot deploys the Pokémon 787 between its base in Singapore and Tokyo, Taipei, Sydney, and Melbourne most often.
Skymark Airlines
Solaseed Air
Miyazaki-based Solaseed Air’s Nassy Jet 737 launched in March 2023 featuring Exeggutor and Alolan Exeggutor Pokémon. The aircraft is most commonly on routes from Tokyo to Miyazaki, Okinawa, Kumamoto, Nagoya, and Kagoshima.
T’way Air
T’way Air’s Pikachu Jet is the only Pokémon livery aircraft operated by a South Korean airline. The 737-800 (HL8306) flies from Seoul or Jeju to Daegu, Osaka, and Da Nang.
