Emergency Motion to Defend In-State Tuition for Immigrant Students Filed by the Legal Aid Justice Center, ACLU of Virginia, and Dream Project

"Attorney General Jason Miyares has sided with the Department of Justice—intentionally working in secrecy and over a holiday weekend—to manufacture a predetermined outcome to deprive Virginian students of not only their futures but their day in court," said ACLU-VA Senior Immigrants’ Rights Attorney Sophia Gregg.

"Today’s proposed rules don’t change the fact that gender-affirming care is still legal in the Commonwealth, but they do threaten hospitals that provide it," said ACLU-VA Senior Transgender Rights Attorney Wyatt Rolla.

ICE ordered to release another young immigrant who was an unaccompanied minor and abused, abandoned or neglected

"Our clients are following the rules they’ve been given to obtain citizenship. For the second time this week, we now have confirmation that ICE is not,” said ACLU-VA Senior Immigrants’ Rights Attorney Sophia Gregg.
