The Hon. Ramona G. See (Ret.) was a judge for the Los Angeles County Superior Court in California. She was appointed to the Los Angeles Municipal Court by former Governor Pete Wilson in 1997. See joined the Superior Court after the unification of the courts in 2000. She retired in 2021, joining ADR Services as a mediator, arbitrator, and referee.
During her judicial tenure, See presided over an Independent Calendar Court for twenty years, where she handled cases involving a broad range of civil matters, including business, real estate, employment, personal injury, construction, insurance bad faith, medical and legal malpractice, wrongful foreclosure, and fraud/breach of fiduciary duty.
She received a B.A. from the University of Michigan in 1982. See went on to complete a J.D. at Boston College Law School in 1985. She also attended a forty-hour mediation program, Mediating the Litigated Case, at the Straus Institute for Dispute Resolution at Pepperdine University School of Law.
Prior to her appointment to the bench, she was a civil litigator at Allen, Matkins, Leck, Gamble & Mallory (1990 to 1997) and Lewis D’Amato Brisbois & Bisgaard (1985 to 1989).
Her memberships included the National Association of Women Judges, the California Judges Association, the Benjamin Aranda II Inn of Court, the California Judicial Education and Research Civil Law Committee, and the American Bar Association.
She was an active speaker and panelist nationally and internationally.
