Add a list of Wikifunctions called on the page when editing it, like is done for templates/Lua modules/etc.

Description

Steps to replicate the issue (include links if applicable):

What happens?:

Template:Citation needed and other related templates and modules appear under "Templates used in this preview", but the wikifunction Z18784, which is also used there, doesn't.

What should have happened instead?:

There should be links from the editing mode to the function, just like there are for templates and modules. In fact, it's even more important for functions, because templates and modules can have a meaningful name, whereas function have only a number, and there's no other way to know what does the function except copying its ZID and searching for it on Wikifunctions.

There is a link to the function from visual editor, but it's necessary in wikitext editing, too.

This is a good spot, thank you.

Templates are a core MediaWiki function. We aren't. It's very challenging to see how we should do this when Scribunto doesn't, for example. But worth considering.

Scribunto definitely does. Look at the bottom of this screenshot:

Product review:

  • We don't think this is particularly high-value, so for now we're moving to No current plans, but if there's significant demand/need, please highlight this to us so we can re-consider.
  • Were we to do this, we would prioritise the visual editor, which is fully supported for new features, and not the 2010 wikitext editor, which is not.
