Wassim Salamoun, OPEI, (born 1952), is the 30th and current lieutenant governor of Prince Edward Island since 2024.[1] He is the first non-white and immigrant-born Lieutenant Governor in the history of the province.
Salamoun was born in Machghara, Lebanon in 1952, and attended the University of Bordeaux in France, where he earned his medical degree (M.D.) in 1979.[2]
