U.S. Routes and Interstate Highways that traverse California are also defined in the California Streets and Highways code as state routes. This list does not include these state routes as they are listed separately.
A few cases exist, such as SR 110, where a defined California State Route partially overlaps with a federally defined Interstate Highway, while the remaining portion is signed as a state highway. This table only addresses the portion signed as a California State Route in these cases.
Lengths for each state route were initially measured as they existed during the 1964 state highway renumbering (or during the year the route was established, if after 1964), and do not necessarily reflect the current mileage.
The years listed reflect when the route was affected by legislative action, this is not necessarily the same year as the actual construction or signing changes to the route. Most notably, SR 275 was deleted from the Streets and Highways Code in 1996, but remained partially maintained until it was added back in 2010; and SR 42 was signed as such for over 30 years after it was renumbered 105.
Concurrences are not explicitly codified in the Streets and Highways Code; such highway segments are listed on only one of the corresponding legislative route numbers. For example, the I-80/I-580 concurrency, known as the Eastshore Freeway, is only listed under Route 80 in the highway code while the definition of Route 580 is broken into non-contiguous segments. When a highway is broken into such segments, the total length recorded by Caltrans only reflects those non-contiguous segments and does not include those overlaps that would be required to make the route continuous.
Some highways are not contiguous as the state has relinquished control of small sections to local governments. The stated length of the highway may or may not reflect the portions under local control.
Highways with the suffix of "U" are considered "unrelinquished". A segment is intended to be relinquished to local control because a newer alignment has been built, or the legislative definition has been changed to omit the section, but the state still owns the roadway. For example, SR 14U is an old alignment of SR 14 whose control has not yet been transferred to the City of Santa Clarita.
Highways with the suffix of "S" are considered "supplemental". For example, an expressway replacement for SR 86 in Riverside County was initially signed as SR 86S until it was eventually transferred to SR 86.

After George gets fired by Mr. Spacely for breaking the company during a merger deal, he is approached in the park by a fight promoter who offers him a match against the Jupiter Juggernaut. After Rosie got the sales robot back to their home and has its love processor removed so that it can stop chasing Rosie, Jane learns that the superpowers that George has will expire in a day. As Spacely attends the fight hoping that George will lose, Jane gets out a sign to George during his fight about his expiring powers as George returns to normal getting crushed by the Jupiter Juggernaut in the process. Back at home, George gets a call from Spacely thanking him for losing against the Jupiter Juggernaut and win the bet. When George asks about who the merger was with, Spacely states that his company is now the Spacely Nebulous Nifty Sprockets. George states to Spacely that Nebulous Nifty was known for products that self-destruct as the building collapses and Spacely fires George for something that isn't his fault. As the love processor was accidentally put back into Rosie, she chases the sales robot as George and Jane chase each other in the same manner. | |

Top 10 longest highways

The portion of the highway between Fresno and Madera has also been designated the 100th Infantry Battalion Memorial Highway, honoring the U.S. Army unit that was composed almost entirely with American soldiers of Japanese ancestry when it fought during World War II.[2] Approximately 10 miles (16 km) north of Fresno in this segment, a palm tree and a pine tree (replaced with a cedar after storm damage in 2005) were planted in the median to mark the transition between Southern California (the palm) and Northern California (the pine), reputedly in the 1920s.[3] The trees are to be removed in 2025 as part of widening the segment to six lanes, to be replaced by 15 pines and 15 palms to the west of the highway.[4][5]
