Bogin said the company had been inspired in part by his observations while traveling to Africa, the Gulf countries, and Asia for CAA.
“I studied these emerging markets and met the major players, seeing firsthand how media ambition and talent were flourishing outside Hollywood,” he said.
“We founded Globa 3 because we recognized the need for a company that truly understands the nuances of these regions as well as the inner workings of Hollywood and Europe. It isn’t just about content – it’s about sensitivity, fluency, and connecting people, capital, and infrastructure across borders.”
Bogin, who is French-American, spent over a decade at CAA in Los Angeles, working in both Media Finance and Film Talent. During this time, he supported top-tier clients, international financiers, and production companies, and guided sovereign wealth funds and private equity firms in content and media infrastructure investments.
Strachan, who is British-Nigerian, has been a prominent figure in the Gulf countries’ film and television industry for over fourteen years.
His roles include relaunching the Training and Development Department at the Doha Film Institute and serving as the founding director of Film AlUla Saudi Arabia’s main new production hubs.
Strachan’s credits include Shahad Ameen’s Scales and Tawfik AlZaidi’s Cannes 2024 selection Norah. While at AlUla, he also facilitated major international productions includingthe Russo Brothers’ Cherry and Thunder Road’s Kandahar with Gerard Butler, the first U.S. film shot entirely in Saudi Arabia.
“Since arriving in the Gulf countries in 2011, I’ve worked closely with governments to build the systems—education, rebates, permitting, production support—that attract international investment,” said Strachan.
“It’s profoundly rewarding to see people’s careers flourish when these frameworks are in place. At Globa 3, we’re continuing that mission, now with a partner who understands the inner workings of studios and talent. Together, we speak both languages.”
The partners said their model for Globa 3 will emphasize long-term partnerships, scalable systems, and high-quality storytelling.
“Storytelling is one of the greatest engines for economic growth,” said Strachan. “When you build the right platforms and support systems, you don’t just create great content— you grow entire industries.”
