The Jaguars had four players they released Saturday claimed on waivers Sunday and they added a pair of players to their defense.
The Jaguars claimed linebacker Arthur Brown and safety Marqueston Huff and added them to their roster. The corresponding moves to clear space on the roster haven’t been announced, although that’s not a pressing issue with Huff this week.
Huff will serve a one-game suspension for a violation of the league’s substance-abuse policy. The suspension came when Huff was still a member of the Titans, who drafted him the fourth round of the 2014 draft. Huff had 33 tackles and an interception in 30 appearances for Tennessee over the last two seasons.
The Jaguars kept Tashaun Gipson, Jonathan Cyprien, Peyton Thompson and Jarrod Wilson at safety on their initial 53-man roster.
Brown was a second-round pick by the Ravens in 2013, but never made a start in 34 games for Baltimore. The Jags kept five linebackers through Saturday’s cuts.
