Two late goals helped Rochdale beat Huddersfield and extend their unbeaten run in League One to six games.
Dale led early as Brian Barry-Murphy's free-kick resulted in a ricochet at the back post, allowing Jason Kennedy to net from six yards.
But it took them another 80 minutes to score a second, when substitute Jean-Louis Akpa Akpro took on two defenders before firing home when one-on-one.
And Chris O'Grady added a third seconds later from 18 yards out.
Rochdale manager Keith Hill told BBC Radio Manchester: "We've got a Rolls Royce engine, a lot of commitment, great team spirit, a collective effort and the players try to put into action the plan me and the coaching staff have devised.
"On a football pitch we're a competitor for everybody. Some of our football is excellent and we've got a defensive strategy as well.
"The challenge for the players is to continue to play in this manner and challenge each other to pick up more points."
Huddersfield Town manager Lee Clarke told BBC Radio Leeds: "Probably the best performance of the season, you'll think I'm going crazy but we started the game very well, they scored with a ricochet, but my lads continued to play well.
"We've moved the ball, passed very well, created opportunities, got in behind them, I just thought we played the way I like to see the ball passed.
"The fans have been fantastic, the backing we've had tonight, I'm sad for them because they want to see their team win and it hasn't happened tonight.
"Tonight will be a nightmare for me, I'll go home, think about the game, but I've got to pick the players up tomorrow, we've got to keep the level of performance but cut out the errors."
