7 TRIGGER ADJUSTEMENT

WARNING

Do not touch face or mouth after handling pellets. Wash hands after handling pellets.

WARNING

NEVER attempt to clear stuck ammunition by firing an additional pellet through the gun.

CAUTION

Be sure that the safety catch is «ON» prior to clearing an obstruction.

With the loading lever in its closed position parallel to the barrel, insert a ramrod of an
appropriate diameter for the caliber of your rifle (4.5 mm/.177 in. or 5.5 mm/.22 in.) into
the muzzle and push until the barrel is empty of ammunition. If a pellet has become stuck,
it will be in the loading port. Lower the loading lever and the feeding bar will emerge with
the pellet in it. Use the ramrod to clean the hole where the pellet is housed. Then clean the
barrel with the ramrod brush to remove any lead particles that may have become stuck to
the rifling.

NOTE

Always discard defective or deformed ammunition.

CAUTION

When you are ready to put your gun away, with the barrel pointed toward the floor,
make sure that there is no ammunition in the barrel. This way you will prevent any
possible accident the next time you use your gun.

been fired, that the magazine is completely empty, and that the air gun is not longer
cocked. This will prevent the possibility of accidents occurring when the air gun is used

8 SIGHT PICTURE AND ADJUSTMENT

Your RETAY air gun has a rear sight which is adjustable for windage (right-left) and
elevation (up-down). The sights are “open” sights. The rear sight consists of a groove and
the fore sight of a head. To aim correctly, study the examples (fig. A9).

8.1 Windage adjustment

If the shot is deflected to the left of the target, turn the knob#1 (fig. A2) clockwise.
If the shot deflected to the right of the target, turn the knob#1 anticlockwise.

8.2 Elevation adjustment

If the shot is too high, turn the knob#2 (fig. A2) clockwise. If the shot is too low, turn
the knob#2 anticlockwise.

be stored in such a manner to protect against theft and subsequent misuse.

You should never store your RETAY air gun unless it has been cleaned and given a light
coat of oil. Always store your RETAY air gun in a clean dry place. It is recommended that

9
HIGH TECH SERIES AIR RIFLES OWNERS MANUAL

10 CLEANING

WARNING

Make certain the air gun is unloaded and the safety in “ON” before cleaning.

To clean the rifle barrel, always open the barrel in the same way as when loading it. Use
an appropriate ramrod for the caliber of your rifle (4.5 mm/.177 in. or 5.5 mm/.22 in.), cloth
drawing tip, cloth and brush. Insert the ramrod into the muzzle. Remember you should
never use lubricating oil in the barrel. It is a good idea every now and then to put a small
amount of special RETAY oil on the safety catch and the trigger assembly. You should also
clean the outside metal parts with oil to prevent them from rusting.

DANGER WARNING

NEVER put any oil inside the barrel or the chamber. The resulting combustion could
cause irreparable damage to your rifle and seriously harm other people.

11 CARE GUARANTEE
Every RETAY gun is guaranteed on the usual conditions according to the law.
Sophisticated designs, accuracy to gauge and the most suitable material ensure long
life and reliable function. Damage due to improper handling or normal wear and tear,
including damage to springs and seals are of course excluded. This includes also usage
of improper ammunition. Warranty will not be accepted if changes or repair work have
been carried out by persons who are not authorized. In case of warranty we substitute the
defective parts free of charge. All Retay products are subject to technical changes and
improvements without prior notice. Air guns manufactured by us are delivered according
to the regulations of “Turkish Gun laws” and our special technical knowhow. We will not
assume any liability whatsoever if this product is exported to countries outside Turkey and
as a consequence does not comply with the legal requirements of these territories. It will
be the sole responsibility of the importer to ensure the compliance with the domestic laws
and regulations.

A fouled barrel affects accuracy and performance. The barrel’s bore should be cleaned
by means of a felt wad or cleaning rod with cords. We can recommend also e.g. felt
rifle cleaners. Use only slightly oiled and fluff-free cleaning equipment. There are special
cleaning equipments for air guns available at your local gun shop. Do not use wire
brushes or steel-tipped cleaning rods. These could seriously damage the rifling. Pull the
cords only from the chamber to the muzzle through the barrel. Be careful not to over
lubricate. Please use only resin and acid free oils. The gun should not be fired without a
pellet in the barrel and should only be put away with the main spring released. The full
recoil puts a very high strain on your rifle and scope. In extreme cold first warm the gun up
to room temperature before using it. Important notice: Please ensure your gun is always
placed in a plastic sleeve before packing it in a foam lined gun case. The foam lining in a
case may react with any of the metal surfaces on this weapon.

WARNING

Lead or lead compounds are known to the State of California to cause cancer, birth
defects and/or reproductive toxicity. Those who clean arms should take protective
measures to avoid contact or exposure to such chemicals.
