Big Number
$80M
Margot Robbie and Jacob Elordi’s Wuthering Heights is preparing to win the long President’s Day/Valentine’s Day weekend with an estimated $40 million domestically and another $40 million overseas for a global launch of $80 million. However, filmmaker Emerald Fennell’s decidedly unconventional literary adaptation of Emily Brontë’s iconic novel is at risk of coming in behind expectations at the domestic box office.
Streaming
New No. 1
Future pop culture trivia players, take note: The answer to the question of “Which show moved Stranger Things out of the No. 1 spot on the streaming charts?” is His & Hers. The (perhaps overly) twisty Netflix limited series climbed to the top overall ranking on Nielsen’s latest charts snapshot released Feb. 12 with 2.24 billion minutes of viewing. Stranger Things fell one spot with 1.91 billion minutes, the first time since its final season debuted in late November that it was not the top title.

Winter Olympics Bounce Back
After falling to all-time lows in 2022, NBC and Peacock’s Winter Olympics telecasts have scored big at the start of the 2026 games. Aided by a post-Super Bowl spot, the games averaged 42 million cross-platform viewers on Feb. 8, the largest audience for a Winter Olympics day since early in the 2014 competition. The first three full days of coverage from Milan and Cortina, Italy, are averaging better than 30 million viewers (including live daytime events and primetime replays). That’s up by about 67 percent vs. the 2022 Winter Olympics.
