Biography
Hassanal Bolkiah ibni Omar Ali Saifuddien III has been the 29th Sultan of Brunei since 1967 and the prime minister of Brunei since its independence from the United Kingdom in 1984. He is one of the few absolute monarchs in the world. With a net worth of $30 billion, the sultan has been ranked among the wealthiest individuals in the world. He is currently the world's longest-reigning monarch and longest-serving head of state.
