Who is rugby star Liam Williams' girlfriend Sophie Harries?

It looks like it could be more than trophies that swayed his decision to leave Wales

Scarlets star Liam Williams has decided his future lies outside Wales, having signed a contract with Saracens.

He turned down an offer from the WRU and will leave the Scarlets at the end of the season.

One of the key reasons the 25-year-old is believed to have taken the move is the lure of living in the English capital, where his girlfriend, Sophie Harries is based - as well as the opportunity to win major trophies.


So, who is Sophie Harries?

She's a self-described small town Welsh girl living in London.

They've been together since early 2015 and if social media is anything to go by they're having a lot of fun - and Sophie seems to get on well with Liam's teammates.

She has been present at plenty of social events, such as Scarlets' centre Scott Williams' wedding.

She's a model and is currently signed up to London firm, Models 1.

Sophie appears to also be an animal lover, having previously tweeted out the hashtag #KnotOnMyPlanet, in reference to tying a knot and donating money to saving Elephants from the Ivory trade.

It seems she is - which is lucky, really.

She often tweets congratulatory messages out following club matches and has posted plenty of pictures to her Instagram from the Principality Stadium.
