The momentum for Denys Arcand's The Barbarian Invasions continued Sunday as the film took home prizes for best film, best script, best director and best actress from the Quebec film industry's Jutra Awards.
The wins came a day after Arcand's film netted awards for best film, best director and best original screenplay from France's Césars.
Marie-Jozée Croze won the Jutra for best actress for her work in The Barbarian Invasions, a performance that was also recognized with the best-actress award at last year's Cannes Film Festival. Arcand won the Cannes best-screenplay prize.
Barbarian Invasions is up for two Academy Awards, best foreign film and best original screenplay, on Sunday. CP
