2.3 Working Principles
2.3.1 Thermal direct system design
When the semiconductor heating unit of the printhead contacts with the thermal printing paper, it can heat
up the paper and change its color, thereby forming the required dot characters and graphics on the paper,
and printing the required patterns.

Component Function

Thermal printhead Heat the specific position of the paper

Paper feed shaft Control printed dots on paper by the motor

Display the graphics and text to be printed through heating by the

2.3.2 Thermal transfer system design

Through special ribbon, the toner coating on the ribbon is heated and transferred to paper or other types

of media by following the working principle similar to the printhead of a fax machine.

Component Function

Ribbon spindle and ribbon rewind spindle For use and rewinding of ribbon

Ribbon sensor Sensing the usage status of ribbon

3. Print Information Report
When the printer is initially installed or there is any problem with the printer, self-test procedure can be
executed to confirm the following status, firmware version, printer parameter setting, print quality, external
settings and other related setting information. If it is found after the self-test that there is no problem with
the printer, please check other devices or software. This function runs independently from other devices or
software.

3.1 Printing the Information Page

1) Make sure the printer is connected to the power supply and the paper roll is installed correctly.
2) When the printer is off, press and hold the Feed key to turn on the printer, release the key after the
fault indicator is off, and the printer starts to print a self-test page.

5. Removal and Installation
Preparation before disassembly:
1. When performing the removal procedure, all external power connections of the printer should be
disconnected.
2. When performing the removal procedure, the cable tie should be removed. The cable tie must be
replaced during reassembly to avoid wire pinching, obstruction of the paper path, or restricted mechanical
movement.
3. Unless otherwise specified, components should be reinstalled in the reverse order of removal.
4. To prevent injury when disassembling the machine for the first time, please wear gloves before
disassembling the printer.
