Subject: - Inspection Report – Cargo/Industrial LINAC Machines

The inspection was conducted on 7/22/2024 at F.D.R.E Custom Commission in Mile Branch
to asses and verifies the fulfillment of regulatory requirements of the Cargo scanning machine.

From the inspection, we observed that the LINAC machine at the Mile branch was not functional
or operational. Due to their inactive status, the planned inspections could not be carried out.

functional or operational. Due to their inactive status, the planned inspections could not be
carried out.

Subject: - Inspection Report – Cargo/Industrial LINAC Machines

As per the schedule from February 10, 2025, to February 19, 2025, our inspection team arrived at
the designated facilities to conduct a radiation safety of the cargo/industrial LINAC (Linear
Accelerator) machines at the F.D.R.E Customs Commission branches in Mojo, Awash, Mile, and
Galafi.

Upon arrival, we observed that the LINAC machines at the Mojo, Awash, and Mile branches
were completely non-operational. Due to their inactive status, the planned inspections could not
be carried out. At the Galafi branch, the inspection was conducted as per the standard regulatory
framework, with findings and recommendations documented separately.
