Everything begins with an idea
Started in my parents’ garage back in 2000s, with some essential
tools and two workmen who were as enthusiastic about the idea as
I was. Together we designed, drew, cut, sawed and chiselled our
way to create a design company.
We may have grown in scale but we remain a ‘peoples’ company’ at
heart. A team that is committed to quality and responsible design.
I welcome you to my world. You may find it classic or
contemporary, sometimes bold, sometimes eccentric, sometimes Aarti Aggarwal, Principal Designer
daring, but always, always genuine and honest. At least that is my Domestic design from University of Arts, London.

SINCE 2002
The Lilwoods story began with sighting the need of a cot. The ingredients- a global education, international exposure along with the very strong Indian sensibility
and a love for product design culminated into Lilwoods. We jumped heart and soul into creating products and themed rooms for our little audience and sure enough
the final offering was equally loved by mommies and daddies.
We created a product that was for keepsakes. Stories of the cots and changing tables being shared by families and extended families keep bringing smiles on our
faces. Our reward is that these happy families keep returning to us for more or with references of friends and family.
We make children furniture, now, for a very select audience.

2008-2015
House of Design - all good things grow and become more, similarly from a niche segment of kids furniture we ventured into making furniture for residences and
offices. We were working out of a 5000sq. ft. store on the MG road, New Delhi. Our pieces were high quality , detailed oriented units for a discerning audience. Our
clients understood that they were bringing home heirlooms which would outlive generations.
We took our experiences back to a studio format and rebranded as Knock on Wood.

Knock on Wood - is the result of 15 years of experience, passion for design and love for wood coming together. After creating highly detailed
pieces with fusing multiple materials, we finally learned the power of simplicity. We understood our strengths and expertise and how to capitalize
on them. With this learning came recognition. All we can say is that the learning and the passion grows every day.
