Cleaning procedure for TP-J520 inkjet head
1. Preparing
- Pure water (or cleaning liquid : 100106267V00)
- Lint free cloth
- 15cm Ruler (Substitution in other things is possible.)
2. Checking the head surface
- Start "TP-J520 Maintenance Tool" up and move the head unit away. Check the head surface.
- If the head surface is dirty, the wiper is dirty or the height of the wiper may be incorrect.
Please perform the automatic cleaning after checking the wiper. And check if the head surface
is not dirty.
* If wiping is not good enough, replace the wiper with new one.

2. Manual cleaning
* Cleaning on the nozzle may cause serious missing jets or deviations, do NOT clean there.
Cleaning procedure 1 (Head plates)
- When the head plates are dirty with ink, clean there using lint free cloth soaked with pure
water.

Cleaning procedure 2 (Edges of nozzle plate)
- When the Edges of nozzle plate are dirty with ink, clean there using lint free cloth soaked
with pure water.

Cleaning procedure 3 (Edges of head plates)
- When ink had accumulated on the edges of head plates much (when dirty ink is near the
nozzles), clean there using lint free cloth soaked with pure water.
- Make lint free cloth touch the dirty ink and take ink out. (like melting ink)
* Do NOT slide the lint free cloth and do NOT contact the nozzles this time.

Cleaning procedure 3 (Edge of inkjet head)
- When ink had accumulated on the edge of the head, and the ink has touched the head base,
remove and clean it.
The accumulated ink touches the head base.
- Shave off the accumulated ink on the edge of inkjet head by using 15cm ruler. Smooth out the
corner using lint free cloth soaked with pure water.

Cleaning procedure 4 (Head base)
- When ink had accumulated on the head base between heads and at back of No19/20 heads,
clean there using lint free cloth soaked with pure water.

4. Test print
- Perform automatic cleaning of the inkjet head cleaned in the above mentioned procedure.
- Print “Chart_Basic” and check its quality.
