Krupp 75mm Field Gun Specifications

The Krupp 75mm field gun M. 1886 was a slow firing field artillery piece used by several armies in the late 19th century. It weighed around 779 kg in action and was transported by a six horse team. It had a maximum range of over 6000 meters when firing common shells and 4400 meters with shrapnel. Though updated to use smokeless powder, its rate of fire remained low.

Remarks :
Slow firing field gun, cylindro-prismatic wedge breech mechanism with an expanding steel
obturation ring. It was fitted with a direct fire sight and aiming circle. It was modernised to
use smokeless powder, but the rapidity of fire was not very great. It was adopted also by
the Romanian and Turkish Army.
