The eighth grade HILI graduates of 1960.
Fifty graduates of the Hebrew Institute of Long Island (HILI) came home to their old school campus on Sunday, June 6 to rekindle old friendships and to visit the school, which is now the campus of Yeshiva Darchei Torah on Beach 19 Street and Seagirt Boulevard.
Fifty of the 88 graduates attended the affair, which was held in the same auditorium from which they graduated eighth grade 50 years ago.
There was a tour of the campus, a dinner and a few short speeches before the graduates shared stories of their lives in the intervening years.
