The first Grand Slam of the year in Melbourne will see players compete for a new all-time high prize money pool as the Australian Open announced a record AUD $96.5 million prize money pool for 2025.
This represents an 11.56% increase compared to last year’s tournament, with all the main draw rounds in singles, doubles and mix doubles receiving ~10% more than a year ago
The 2025 Australian Open Champion will receive $3,500,000, an 11.11% increase from last year. The runner-up gets $1,900,000, which is a 10.14% increase.
The early-round losers see the largest % increases, with first-round losers bagging themselves 12.94% more than 2024 with $120,000.

The amounts are currently the mid-market exchange rate at today’s rate but will be updated on the day of the final when the tournament is complete.
