Having begun his career with the play Kashkol, there's been no looking back for Aijaz Aslam. He has become one of our most respected and acclaimed actors in the business. Aslam also found a production house, which has successfully churned out plays like Tum Meri Ho, Anabia and Ahsaas, to name a few.

Recently, we got to know he's gearing up with a new drama serial titled Sohani Ki Kahani, which is why HIP decided to get in touch with the actor-turned-producer to get all the details for our readers .

With the shoot almost wrapped up, Aslam shared, "This is a 100 episode serial and it will air on Geo Kahani. The cast includes Asad Zaman and Junaid Akhtar as the male leads along with Madiha Zaidi as the female lead named Sohani."

With a relatively newer cast, the play has been written by Muhammad Faiz and directed by Syed Imran Ali. With us curious to know whether we will be seeing Aslam in front of the camera as well, the actor replied, "No, I am not going to be in it."

Wilst Aijaz Aslam just producing, the story revolves around a middle class family where the father is very traditional and his wife has been leading a very dutiful life, dedicated to serve him and the in-laws. But she wants her daughter to live the life which she never could. Now Sohani won't portray someone down in the dumps, instead, she is someone who keeps a positive outlook on everything, which we're sure the viewers will enjoy.

The story will pick up pace when she falls in love with Zaryab and gets married to him after rejecting a proposal from of one of her cousins. After the marriage, will Zaryab and Sohani remain happy together or will she pay the price of pursuing her mother's dream? That we are soon to find out.

We hope to see a quality play from Aijaz Aslam Productions. The rest of the cast includes Shahzad Raza, Humera Zahid and Bina Choudhry amongst others.
