Both the name of a coastal town and district, Mersing is the main departure point for ferries to more than 40 islands in the Seribuat Archipelago, making it the gateway to some of the area’s most breath-taking islands like Pulau Rawa, Tioman, Sibu and Pemanggil.

Mersing
Though known mainly for the islands found off its coast, the captivating town of Mersing, is an idyllic retreat in itself. Its tagline of ‘Naturally Splendid’ lives up to its billing with a great choice of restaurants, cafes and traditional coffee shops, all of which is best explored on foot.
In the north of Mersing district spans Endau-Rompin National Park, Malaysia’s second largest national park after Taman Negara. Shared with the state of Pahang, Endau-Rompin is one of the oldest tropical rainforest complexes in the world and features rock formations some of which are 248 million years old.
