Nona Aquan has been announced as the new Queen of the Santa Rosa First Peoples.
She was revealed to the community last night after a traditional ceremony at the community’s centre in Arima.
Ms Aquan will replace the late Jennifer Cassar who passed away while she was Queen last year.
She will join incumbent Chief Ricardo Bharath Hernandez when she is inaugurated in August.
