Pizza boxes can NOT be placed in your curbside containers. They must go with trash. The food grease from these boxes is contaminating other paper goods therefore making it unacceptable to our broker. Your cooperation is greatly appreciated and we thank you for your efforts!

Pennsylvania Act 101 and Bethlehem City Ordinance #3821 require all businesses and institutions to recycle mixed office paper, newsprint, magazines/shiny paper, corrugated cardboard, aluminum and leaves. In addition to the aforementioned, food licensed businesses must also recycle steel cans, clear glass containers, colored glass containers, and plastics 1-7 (Except Styrofoam). Businesses must source-separate their materials, store them separate from garbage in proper containers, and make arrangements to recycle commingled, mixed office paper/ corrugated cardboard and leaves separately.

Household
Hazardous Waste
Any material that is flammable, corrosive,
reactive, or toxic is considered to be a "household hazardous
waste" and must be handled and disposed of correctly.
Call your respective county as they are eligible for funding
from DEP to provide a hazardous waste recycling program.
