One of My Favs
Science, Psychology, Neurology and Magic, such a beautiful mix. This is in my top 3 Adventure point-and-clicks because it GETS YOU THERE, it's super-atmospheric, soundtrack is doing that for you. This game almost got me to study Neurology @Uni. 10/10 Time Played: 10-20 hours

My Childhood in an Adventure Point and Click Game
This is the game that introduced me to Adventure Point and Clicks. I played it in 1998 first I think and replayed it many times. It's locations are amazing. I remember loving the Hotel the most, it had something to it that I love and can't put my finger on, but it really got you THERE, in that atmosphere. It will be forever in my heart. Time Played: Over 20 hours

Almost stopped playing this beautiful disaster
It was visually very nice. Some hauntingly beautiful graphics, although the animations weren't great. But even with their patches, the game was very buggy. I experienced the stairs bug at the beginning, where Ann would go back down the stairs on her own. The cursor wasn't animated and changed instantly, but inconsistently. With the graphics, it was very difficult to see hotspots and sometimes hotspots would activate the cursor incorrectly or not at all. The puzzles generally consistent of clicking all the available hotspots until you found the correct order. More or less. There were rarely hints from characters of what to do and lack of persistence in dialogue could fail to trigger a required change while too much persistence could prematurely trigger it and screw up sequences. It wasn't really too challenging, but the gameplay was awful. Every site was an "unintended" maze because it was a challenge to find hotspots to move from screen to screen, movement across screens was inconsistent, and there were lots of strangely configured, empty screens. The panther sequences were, if anything, more poorly conceived. The story wasn't awful. But it was really dark and dreary without any light at the end of the tunnel. And we really didn't get a ton of detail for all the dialogue. Time Played: 5-10 hours

Awesome storytelling
This game is filled with suspense from the very first. Mysterious, creepy, mesmerizing. It's not a real horror game, although there are moments it certainly feels like one. It features a unique combination of keyboard input and mouse clicking. The player uses his keyboard to type commands (as in a text adventure) and to solve puzzles. A must-play for every adventure gamer, if only to see how far the genre has come. I don't often rate a game 5 stars, but this one deserves it IMO. Everything about it is good, music, sound effects, graphics, voices, but in particular the novel way the 4 intertwined stories are told. Loved the 4-5 hours I spent with it. For people who are unfamiliar with text adventures: Don't be alarmed, there's much more to do than just thinking of commands to type, which is not hard in this game anyway. Time Played: 2-5 hours

Extremely short, easy, but fun casual adventure.
Not a hidden object game... there are puzzles that are... a bit like traditional adventures. No real hidden object, although sometimes you have to find objects hidden in plain view. Everything is very simple and the traditional puzzles can be skipped. The music is quite nice and the artwork is cute. The story is a bit intriguing, although there's not much depth to this game. I guess it is appropriate for all ages and a nice short, casual distraction. Time Played: 1-2 hours
Difficulty: Very Easy
