Head of Turkey-Azerbaijan association becomes deputy of Turkish parliament

Head of the Turkey-Azerbaijan association and TURKSAM strategic research center Sinan Ogan elected deputy of Grand National Assembly of Turkey.

Ethnic Azerbaijanis who are the citizens of Turkey, including Sinan Ogan, Ali Ozgunduz and Haji Bayram Turkoglu, have won deputy mandates by results of the 12 June parliamentary elections in this country, according to sources in the State Committee for Diaspora Affairs of Azerbaijan.

Sinan Ogan runs for deputies from the Nationalistic Movement Party of Igdir and won in the election with a big superiority.

In his speeches ahead of elections, he supported expanding of ties with Azerbaijan, eliminating visa regime between the two countries and turning Igdir into a free economic zone.
