The Feeling

Uncle Wheaty's picture

I am just listening to their new album.

I think their debut album is fantastic and the second one was OK.

Truly disappointing third effort.

True.

They put all their eggs in one basket with the first album. But, they were corn-fed, free range eggs without doubt.

Yeah I Was Disappointed With The Latest

Even the double album on spotify there were only about 4 tracks I liked they seem to have gone in a similar way to Franz Ferdinand shame really

Ohhhhhh nooooooo

I loved their debut, rather disappointed with the second, rather sad the third seems to be even more so. Shame.

Remember them like this...

and...

If they never do anything memorable ever again, they can rest easy. *What* a debut...

Oh, indeed

That first album is sooooo good (and I think it was a Jude Rogers review in the Word that brought it to my attention)

diminishing

returns, innit? See also about 90% of bands who's first album did well in the last decade: Thrills, Fratellis, Keane, Kaisers, View, Guillemots, - even Duffy - when Adele's latest album went stellar, I wondered when Duffy would release her sophomore (ahem) platter - turned out she did, last year, it stiffed, she's considering a hiatus.

I always thought

the would fill the large Del Amitri sized hole in my musical life after the first album which I played till the grooves went flat, figuratively speaking. They filled my little world right up, right up

All the above..

The set the bar just a little too high for themselves. A great shame.

They're still fantastic live, though.
