 |
USArray is a continental scale seismic array with permanent and transportable components that will map the structure and dynamics of the continent and the underlying mantle at high resolution. The USArray Observatory will be built as part of EarthScope over the next 5 years by IRIS, under a Co-operative Agreement with the NSF through a Major Research Equipment Facility Construction (MREFC) award. Other EarthScope components include the Plate Boundary Observatory (PBO) and the San Andreas Fault Observatory at Depth (SAFOD). Details of the of the USArray Observatory design and other EarthScope information can be downloaded from http://www.earthscope.org/links_pubs/index.html.
