March 4th: Austin Aries just changed the landscape of the Open The Freedom Gate Title situation with this promo. DGUSA officials are now discussing a resolution. The debate is whether Aries or Tozawa will receive an Open The Freedom Gate Title Match in Atlanta. Tozawa is already scheduled against DGUSA Champion YAMATO for April 3rd. However, Jon Moxley and YAMATO have refused to put the belt on the line against Tozawa. Negotiations are going on now. We have not received word on how YAMATO and Moxley feel about putting the Freedom Gate Title on the line against Aries. Tozawa can make a strong case for deserving the shot in Atlantaafter his performance at "United" weekend, including a victory over Aries in a great match. We do promise to have this situation resolved by Monday.

March 4th:
Once a decision is made on Aries, the rest of the Atlanta cards will fall into place quickly. We will have the Open The Freedom Gate Title Match decision and many more matches starting this Monday at DGUSA.tv.

January 4th:
Open The Freedom Gate Champion BxB Hulk has responded to Jon Moxley's promo yesterday. He answered with a resounding "YES" and will now face the toughest series of matches in his life. Here's how things shape up:

Jan. 28th - Manhattan, NY
Open The Freedom Gate Title Match
BxB Hulk defends vs. YAMATO

Jan. 29th - Philadelphia, PA
Open The Freedom Gate Title Match (if Hulk is still Champion)
BxB Hulk defends vs. Jon Moxley

Jan. 30th - Union City, NJ
Open The Freedom Gate Title Match (if Hulk is still Champion)
BxB Hulk defends vs. Akira Tozawa

Some interesting things to note here are that Moxley said he had someone else to address in his promo. We expect to hear from him again this week about that. The order of the matches here is interesting, too. Tozawa has not done anything to get into contention, but he would have the best shot at winning the title if Hulk can make it through the first two nights. That is a big "if." YAMATO has to be considered the toughest challenger of the three, especially with his history against Hulk. If Hulk gets past YAMATO, Moxley can pick at the scraps. If Hulk makes it through this Kamikaze USA Gauntlet he can claim to be the greatest Champion in this sport. Tickets for all three events are now on sale in the DGUSA.tv Store or by calling 267-519-9744.

January 4th:
In a related note, if Hulk loses the title on either the first or second night, his matches on the followingevents will have an added stipulation to make up for the fact that they will not be title matches.

December 27th:
Dragon Gate held its final event of 2010 over the weekend. The huge card saw Ricochet team with CIMA & Dragon Kid to defeat Takuya Sugawara, Naoki Tanizaki, Yasushi Kanda to win the Open The Triangle Gate Titles. Ricochet, on his first tour of Japan, even scored the winning fall as he pinned Kanda following the incredible double moonsault. Ricochet proved he is half-man/half-amazing by having so much success on his debut tour. This is unheard of in Japan.

Get to know Ciampa with this brief video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cvnv2C-SxCk

December 26th:
Brodie Lee and Ricochet continue to make a big impact in Japan as their stars climb. Ricochet will get a chance of a lifetime as he teams with CIMA & Dragon Kid to go after the Open The Triangle Titles tonight at "Final Gate 2010." Brodie Lee is not only undefeated, but he has pinnedall his opponents in under 90 seconds. Both Ricochet and Lee are now making their reputations in Japan. We'll be back with results of tonight's huge event.

December 21st:
Brodie Lee shocked Dragon Gate when he made his surprise debut last night at Korakuen Hallon Dragon Gate's final show of the year in Tokyo. Lee defeated Kzy in less than a minute after his Warriors teammates capturedan eight man tag. Ricochet won the eight man tag for the Warriors team when he pinned Dr. Muscle after the double moonsault. These DGUSA rising stars are breaking out and making an impact in Japan!!!

December 14th:
We announced the four teams that will participate in the Open The United Gate Title tournament yesterday. There were two notable snubs in Kamikaze USA and CHIKARA Sekigun. DGUSA officials debated for hours as to what teams should be involved. It was ruled that CHIKARA Sekigun would be excluded because they were inactive in tag competition on the last four events due to injuries. The last time Mike Quackenbush & Jigsaw of CHIKARA Sekigun actually competed in a straight tag was back in May. This was the only thing that really worked against this team.

December 14th:
Jon Moxley of Kamikaze USA actually approached DGUSA officials last weekend and volunteered to withdraw Kamikaze USA from the tourney. In exchange, Moxley wanted a few specific singles matches for Kamikaze USA during the January 28-30th events. The final negotiations are taking place now and we will have more on this soon.

December 14th:
Mike Quackenbush has only stated that he is "very disappointed" at CHIKARA Sekigun's exclusion and refused further comment. Jigsaw reacted with anger. DGUSA officials are currently working on ideas for a consolation reward for them.

December 14th:

December 10th:
We have a major development concerning the Open The United Gate Title tournament on 1/28 in Manhattan, 1/29 in Philadelphia and 1/30 in Union City. Naruki Doi, who has been shaking up Dragon Gate in Japan, has demanded to be included in the tournament. Since he is half of the current Open The Twin Gate Champions with Gamma, his request has been granted. However, Doi has stated he will prove that he is the best tag team wrestler in the world by choosing another partner to win the Open The United Gate Titles. He sent word that as of now he just wants everyone to know that it is a mystery partner.

December 10th:
The tournament will see four teams compete in a round robin tourney over all three shows. November 29th -
DGUSA officials have been flooded with requests from tag teams all over the world to be in the January tournament to determine the first Open The United Gate Champions. Since there are only four teams in this three day round robin tourney, DGUSA has narrowed down the list by only making teams eligible that have competed in DGUSA before. However, a Dragon Gate stable can pick any two wrestlers from within the stable to compete. You can now go to the Feature Articles and voice your opinion on who should be selected. We hope to have everything finalized this week. Here's a list of teams/stables that are under consideration:
-Warriors International
-World-1
-CHIKARA Sekigun
-Kamikaze USA
-Ronin
-Up In Smoke
-The Osirian Portal
-The Colony
-Susumu Yokosuka & Genki Horiguchi

November 26th:
The first ever Open The United GateChampions will be crowned in January in a tournament. These will be the tag team titles of DGUSA.The tourney will take place over the course of the "United" weekend on 1/28 in Manhattan, 1/29 in Philadelphia and 1/30 in Union City. Here is the format:
-There will be four teams.
-They will compete in a round robin tournament over the course of the weekend.

Anyonewho saw the "Open The Northern Gate" or "Uprising" DVDs knows that PAC is a tremendous addition to the roster. PAC is the current Open The Brave Gate Champion.

November 1st:
We'll have more news updates this week with the fallout from last weekend's events.

October 29th:
We have major stable draft news. You will see it unfold live tonight on iPPV, but we have already learned that World-1 plan to make Homicide the first overall pick. We'll see how this plays out tonight. In another development, we are still taking entrants into the draft until 6pm tonight so there might be a last minute addition to the eligible draft list.

October 29th:
There will be at least two major matches added to this Saturday's Rahway, NJ event after the happenings of tonight's live iPPV. These matches will be announced during the course of the iPPV or on the main page of this site tomorrow. There will be tickets available at the door in Rahway this Saturday.

October 29th:
The first details of the 2011 schedule will be released next week right here in DGUSA.tv News Alerts.

October 29th:

October 26th:
The stable draft is set for this Friday on live iPPV from Fall River, MA. Each stable in DGUSA will add a new member. A random drawing was held yesterday in the DGUSA offices to determine the draft order. Here it is:
1) World-1
2) Warriors International
3) Kamikaze USA
Note: CHIKARA Sekigun passed as if they add new members they will come from CHIKARA.

In a surprising move, Homicide has entered himself into the draft. It would seem like a no brainer that he will be picked first. However, anything can happen in the draft. Silas Young has also entered. The Osirian Portal have entered as a unit. Here is the list of those available in the draft:
-Homicide
-Silas Young
-The Osirian Portal
-Johnny Gargano
-Chuck Taylor
-Drake Younger
-Arik Cannon
-Sami Callihan
-Rich Swann
-Rexx Reed
-Tommaso Ciampa
-Scott Reed

Who will go where? We'll find out live as it happens this Friday at "Bushido: Code Of The Warrior" on live iPPV through GoFightLive.tv.

October 25th: Is Johnny Gargano growing up and turninginto a star before our eyes? In case you missed it, check out this video of Ricochet joining Warriors International at the end of the "Untouchable" cable pay-per-view taping in Chicago: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IIo5tvDoDYk

October 25th: Austin Aries wrote a bloglast Friday that has raised some eyebrows. He will break his silence when we give him the mic on iPPV this Friday. There is no controlling what Aries willsay since the show is LIVE. Aries has told DGUSA officials not to book him in a match for this Saturday in Rahway, NJ until after he speaks his mind this Friday. Aries has guaranteed us thathe wants the best, toughest opposition in Rahway, but it looks like he plans to make some news first this Friday.

October 25th: Since there are two Seminar/Tryouts this weekend, there are a low number of participants for each one. This means that if you are a wrestler you can get really hands on training and a closer look by the Dragon Gate office. Go to the DGUSA.tv Seminar/Tryouts section for more info. Remember, you can pay as you go with our new half price offer for wrestlers that have participated in a past Seminar/Tryout. Wrestler(s) from the Seminar/Tryout in both Fall River and Rahway will be booked on the show that night.

October 25th: We are still finalizing the draft list. We'll have it for you tomorrow for the last iPPV Tuesday.

October 25th: With the Austin Aries development and the draft this Friday in Fall River, MA for the live iPPV, it is difficult to set the rest of the Rahway, NJ card right now. We do know that Austin Aries will be in a top card quality match against the best opponent possible.
