In addition to his just-announced collection of Royal Trux remixes, Ariel Pink has another new project lined up. His early work as Ariel Pinkâs Haunted Graffiti is getting reissued as part of a project called the Ariel Archives. The first round includes Underground and Loverboy. It also includes Oddities Vol. 2, a compilation of one-off tracks, rarities, previously unreleased songs, and outtakes recorded between 1999 and 2018. Theyâre out October 25 via Mexican Summer.
A second installment in the reissue series will arrive next year. In the meantime, Pink has shared a few videos to accompany the news. Thereâs one for âStray Here With You,â which appears on Oddities Vol. 2, and a clip for the reworked version of Loverboyâs âSo Glad.â Thereâs also âChapter 8: Some Tutorials,â a segment from a longer piece by filmmaker Salvador Cresta, titled Dedicated to Boris Karloff on which Pink also worked. Find those clips in a YouTube playlist below.
