Swindon bring in Paul Bodin as manager for Paul Hart
Bodin made 23 appearances for Wales
Former player Paul Bodin will take over as manager of relegated Swindon from Paul Hart until the end of the season.
The 46-year-old reserve and youth team coach, who had two spells as a player at the club, will step up for the games at home to Oldham and away at Tranmere.
His appointment is on a temporary basis after Hart and his assistant Ian McParland decided to leave the Robins.
Hart, 57, replaced Danny Wilson at the Town helm in March but failed to stave off the drop, winning one of 11 games.
The changes come a day after chairman Andrew Fitton resigned his post at the County Ground, having described the season as a "spectacular failure".
Interim chairman Jeremy Wray said: "The search for a new manager begins immediately."
Bodin, a left-back who won 23 caps for Wales, first signed for Swindon in March 1988 and stayed until 1991 when the club were forced to sell a host of players after the illegal payments scandal which resulted in their demotion from the top flight.
But he returned 10 months later for a second stint, staying until July 1996 and taking his total tally of appearances to 297.
An already popular figure off the back of his first spell, Bodin built on his standing with supporters when he helped the Robins back to the top flight with a match-winning penalty in the play-off final against Leicester in 1993.
Bodin also had spells at Cardiff, Crystal Palace, Newcastle, Reading and Wycombe in a 17-year playing career.
After hanging up his boots in 1998 he became boss of Bath City before returning to Swindon as youth team coach in 2008.
