Swindon out of administration
Swindon Town have emerged from administration, it was confirmed on Monday.
The move means the club are now once again in charge of their own finances, provided that it continues to meet certain conditions. The club went into administration for the second time in April. But their administrators, Hacker Young and Partners, have now confirmed that the High Court order has been lifted.
Swindon chief executive Mark Devlin said: "We are delighted - this is great news for the club. "We are back in control of our own destiny and we have to ensure that we build on the good start to the season made by the players. "To do that we must use good business practice and learn from our mistakes," he added. Swindon took their first steps back towards financial normality in July. Then, the Professional Footballers' Association lifted its transfer embargo on the club after the County Ground outfit paid back all outstanding fees. |
