The funniest running plotline in the current (and final) season of HBO’s The Righteous Gemstones involves a coked-up Uncle Baby Billy (Walton Goggins) trying to parlay the success of his Christian TV show, Baby Billy’s Bible Bonkers, into entertainment moguldom by launching a new TV show about Jesus Christ’s oft-unexplored teen years called Teenjus. Over the course of the season, Uncle Baby Billy lords over the Teenjus set with an iron fist and gets increasingly frustrated with the show’s lead actor for failing to imbue the Teenjus character with the gravitas and charisma he deserves. The only reasonable solution, he decides, is to take matters into his own hands and play Teenjus himself, despite the fact that he is in his 70s. All this comes to a head in the most recent episode of The Righteous Gemstones, “On Your Belly You Shall Go,” when Uncle Baby Billy — in character as Teenjus up to his usual, biblically inaccurate teenage Jesus antics — stars in an elaborate song-and-dance number for a disco-rap song titled “Turn the Other Cheek” to win a dance competition.

After the episode aired on April 27, Goggins gave fans a behind-the-scenes look at the recording of “Turn the Other Cheek” on Instagram, and against all odds, it might be better than the scene itself. Standing in a recording booth while going full Method as Uncle Baby Billy going Method as Teenjus, Goggins proceeds to catch a flow, half-breakdance, and pepper in some incredible ad-libs like “Let’s go!” and “Shhhh!” The actor has been the inspiration for a lot of memes lately thanks to his performance in The White Lotus, but with this video, he’s ensuring he will be immortalized in meme history forever. Words can’t really do it justice, so please just watch it so it can speak for itself.
