PART –A
1 BASIC ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING
I In a closed electrical circuit, three resistors (2, 4 & 6 ohms) are connected L2 CO1 [1M]
in series across 100V DC voltage source. Using Kirchhoff's Voltage Law,
determine current in the circuit?
II Draw the phasor diagram of the following: v(t)=100sin(wt+90) L1 CO2 [1M]

III State Faradays law of electromagnetic induction. L1 CO3 [1M]
IV What is nuclear fission? L1 CO4 [1M]
V Name the two components of a two-part electricity tariff and write its L1 CO5 [1M]
expression to calculate electricity bill.
