A blue plaque will mark the former mansion home of one of Gateshead's most famous former residents.
William Wailes, who was born in 1801, became a noted stained glass designer, and his work can still be seen in many churches around the country.
A plaque is being unveiled at his former home, Saltwell Towers, by the Mayor of Gateshead on Thursday.
The Victorian building is now the Saltwell Park Visitor Centre after a restoration programme.
The mayor will also unveil a plaque at a modest terraced house in Bensham, to commemorate the founders of the Salvation Army.
Although born in Nottingham, William Booth and his wife Catherine came to Gateshead in 1858 for a series of revival meetings, and lived at 15 Woodbine Terrace in Bensham.
Gateshead already has 22 blue plaques celebrating famous residents, locations and events, including the author Daniel Defoe, and Geordie Ridley, who wrote the song The Blaydon Races.
