INTRODUCTION
The loading docks, also called platforms. They are the place where the
supplies arrive for the first time and from where the shipments leave to their
destinations. The growth of trade, rapid modernization and advancements
technological advancements have made it essential that the dock equipment is
a matter of utmost importance, as maintaining a flow of goods
constant without the right equipment would be impossible. In addition to what pertains to
productivity, maintaining a port properly equipped with equipment
modern ones provide a certain level of security as they facilitate tasks making
that operational errors become less frequent.
Currently, there are many alternatives in terms of brands and
specifications, as different ports handle different goods,
vehicles, usage frequencies and load conditions for each type of
warehouse.

CONTAINER
At the docks performing loading/unloading operations, they employ
different teams to carry out daily tasks, these can be
group as follows:
Container yard area
Forklift: Also known as motorized wheelbarrows or
elevators. They move on the ground with traction
motorized. They are mainly intended for
transport, push or lift loads.
The forklift is the most traditional and to fulfill its

Its structure is made of metal or steel.
ElReach Staker is a mobile crane that serves as
support for the stacking of containers in
the yards. It has a range for mobilizing
containers up to a height equivalent to 5
stacked containers (9.6 meters) and up to 3
wide containers, with a capacity of
up to 45 tons. In the first row (radius
minimum) up to 4 high containers. In addition
it can be used for loading and unloading of
vehicles
Cranes Its main function is to maneuver with the
containers, lifting them to rearrange them in
some other place.
The LMT 1095-5.1 mobile crane has a length
14 meters, 10 axles (all directional, 8 of
traction) and a penetration angle of 27º The

to be able to move the crane from one place to another. This

The RTG (Rubber Tired Gantry) has its structure

The MULTI-PURPOSE GANTRY CRANES have a
great versatility as they can all manipulate different
types of cargo: Bulk, containers or other general cargo
depending on the tool being considered: spoon, spreader, or hook.
They can also be classified into:

CONCLUSION
Learned the importance of port teams for maneuvers of
loading/unloading, one can think of the enormous amount of merchandise that is

total dependence on machinery and facilities. It could not be managed.

We can also highlight the great variety of equipment and accessories that
they exist, their use is linked to the needs of the port, which in turn
are defined by the type of activities that are carried out within it. If
