6. Limitations as to Use

EXCLUDING: (a) Use to secure the release of a motor vehicle, other than the vehicle identified above by its registration number, which has been seized by, or on
behalf of, any government or public authority, unless the effective date of the certificate pre-dates the date of the seizure.
(b) Use in connection with any trade, business or profession.
(c) Use for hiring of the vehicle, the carriage of passengers or goods for payment, the carriage of goods or property which does not belong to you as a courier or for
takeaway or fast food delivery.
(d) Use for any purpose in connection with the buying and selling, repair, servicing, cleaning, maintenance, inspection, testing, alteration or treatment of motor
vehicles.
(e) Use for any competitions, trial, performance test, race or trial of speed, including off road events and track days, whether between motor vehicles or otherwise,

IMPORTANT INFORMATION
MOTOR INSURANCE
It is compulsory for you to have motor insurance unless your vehicle has been declared off the road in accordance with the statutory off road
notification (SORN).
Continuous motor insurance must be in force and any break in cover may render you liable to prosecution.
CHANGING YOUR VEHICLE
If you change your vehicle or acquire an additional vehicle it is essential that you notify us IMMEDIATELY giving full details of the new vehicle.
You must ensure that a temporary Cover Note or Certificate of Motor Insurance is issued to you for the new vehicle BEFORE it is used on the road.
Failure to do this may result in your policy being inoperative and you being in breach of the compulsory motor insurance requirements.
CHANGE OF DRIVERS OR USE
BEFORE you use your vehicle for any purpose not permitted under your current Certificate of Motor Insurance or allow it to be driven by any person
who is not shown on your current Certificate of Motor Insurance as a permitted driver it is essential that you notify your broker.
You must ensure that a temporary Cover Note or Certificate of Motor Insurance is issued to you for the new use or driver BEFORE your vehicle is
used on the road. Failure to do this may result in your policy being inoperative and you being in breach of the compulsory motor insurance
requirements.
CANCELLATION
If you want to cancel this policy you must tell us in writing and return this Certificate of Motor Insurance. We will refund part of your premium providing
there has been no claim under the policy. The refund will be calculated from the date this Certificate of Motor Insurance is returned.
DRIVING OTHER VEHICLES
Your Certificate of Motor Insurance will show overleaf whether this insurance provides any cover while you are driving any other vehicle. If your
Certificate permits you to drive another vehicle please note that cover to that vehicle is limited to Third Party Liability only and that damage to that
vehicle is NOT covered by this policy. Any cover provided by your Certificate for driving any other vehicle applies only if the vehicle is registered
and normally kept in Great Britain, Northern Ireland, the Isle of Man or the Channel Islands and you must be driving the vehicle with the owner's
permission.
If there is no reference to the driving of other vehicles on your Certificate your policy provides no cover whatsoever while you are driving any vehicle
other than the one specified overleaf.
There will be no cover unless a current and valid policy of insurance is in force for the Private Motor Car being driven under this section of the
Policy.

WINDSCREEN/GLASS DAMAGE (Comprehensive Polices only)
If you have windscreen cover under your policy, simply produce your Certificate of Motor Insurance at the time of the repair or replacement by our
nominated glass company and the bill will be sent direct to us. All you will have to pay is any applicable excess (and VAT if you are VAT registered)
as per your Schedule of Insurance. For glass repair and replacement please call us on 0333 241 9566
This Insurance Certificate provides evidence that motor insurance operates in the United Kingdom for the dates shown and this cover extends to include the compulsory motor insurance requirements
of:
(a) Any other member country of the European Union (b) Andorra, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway and Switzerland.
