Wolfenstein 3D for Daemon and 3D&T

3D games are very popular today, thanks to huge improvements in audio and video
capabilities. Anyone who has played a Quake or Half Life title knows what we're talking about:
well-regenerated 3D graphics, soft polygons and fluent animation. And to whom do we owe all
this? To the J&J duo from Id Software, the controversial John Carnack and Jhon Romero, who
long before the disagreements that would break up their blessed union brought us the fantastic
Wolfeinsten 3D. This title with bold features at the time was the precursor of first-person shooter
games in free-roam scenarios; It can be said that he was the “father” of great classics such as
Doom, Quake, Heretic, Rise of Triad, Hexen and others.

The game with a simple structure even ran on a PC-286 computer, subject to its
limitations, of course. The game basically involved: 1-finishing the Nazis, 2-collecting the
treasures and 3-most importantly: escaping with your life! Accomplishing “so many” goals was
not easy in a maze full of enemies.
Created in 1992, Wolf abdicated as the pioneering first-person shooter games, which
are very popular today. Its main theme was also taboo: Hitler and Nazism, things we avoid
talking about (and remembering) nowadays.
Wolf had a sequel called SPEAR OF DESTINY, with the same stages and appearance
as the previous game. Nowadays we see RETURN OF CASTLE WOLFENSTEIN, the new
version of ID that is much more evolved and already in stores. To learn more about Wolf3D, the
following official websites can help (in English): www.idsoftware.com
the official ID Software website. www.rtcwworld.com
the website about Wolf3d fans.

This is an adaptation of Wolf's world for the RPG. In addition to using the already known
open system from Editora Daemon, we also included 3D&T due to the fact that many RPG
players access the netbook website and are 3D&T fans and also for Masters to present
Wolfenstein to newcomers.

Wolfenstein 3D for Daemon and 3D&T

Perhaps the only shortcomings in this book are the scarcity of figures and boss
sheets for each episode and better weapon statistics; Excuse me RPGists, the only version
of Wolf3d that I currently have is a Wolf-Demo and it really doesn't have all of the original
game. But wait: I'm going to search the net for the full version and formulate a new version
of the netbook, for now I ask the Masters to please adapt the rest of the material, because
wolf3d is just COMBAT!!!!!!
Like every netbook published by Daemon, this work is free. You can download it
from any RPG website and even make it available on your own homepage.
We hope you don't sell this book for nothing: we made it with the sole intention of you having
fun with your friends and preserving the image of Wolf3d.
We also want to inform everyone that the brands, characters and quotes are the
rights of their respective brands, that is, ID Software (for the scenario) and Editora Daemon
(Sistema Daemon) and Talismã (3D&T) for their respective RPG systems .

What is Wolfenstein?
A computer game created in 1992 by a game company called ID (read Í-DEE!)
SOFTWARE, known for the games Doom, Quake and Heretic, created after Wolfenstein.
The game wasn't just on the computer, but had appearances on the old Super Nintendo
console and had two secret stages in Doom 2. The version of wolf 3d on the Super Nintendo
wasn't fully 3D, but at least it was better than the computer version: It had an x-ray of the
phase maps (which the PC version doesn't have!), better designed drawings and more
phases. The hesitation here appears because the game in the video game version has no
episodes and many of the stages are changed, we don't have dogs but silver panthers and
you couldn't change weapons. The music and sounds were well executed and brought an
atmosphere; very different from the PC version using PC-Spkear mode as an option (This
is very annoying!).
It can be said that Wolfenstein is not just the name of the game, but the name of the
main fortress that served as a refuge for Nazis and prisoners. Its walls are full of Nazi
symbols (that strange cross, I forgot the name!) and paintings of Adolf Hitler (the mentor
and leader of the movement at the time!). Wolfenstein has no windows and it is impossible
to know whether it is day or night inside the mansion.

Campaigns and Maps Wolf3D

campaigns are “kill or be killed”, that is, you have to destroy the guys before they
destroy you! The image of RPGs is already very bad in Brazil and we don't want it to get
worse! This is JUST A GAME! When the adventure or section is over, leave the dice and
books and do other cool things. I warned that something like “Case Guarapari” would never
happen again...
The objective of an adaptation of Wolf3D is to use the characters in a slightly
different War Campaign. You can even build a War Dogs character to play this scenario.
Although we created a different score for character creation.

Have courage, because in Wolf you have no choice: you're in a castle full of Nazis
and you don't know what could happen. The characters will be in a dark castle and their
only chance to escape is to decimate their enemies, in this case, Nazis; in a world that

was being threatened by Nazism (You would just be “doing the world a big favor”).

Introduction: BJ
Blazkowickz was captured while trying to find the Operation Eisenfaust plans. Taken
to Wolfenstein, a large fortress surrounded by hundreds of thousands of Nazis and large
castles, BJ manages to escape by persuading the guard who was interrogating him, taking
his knife and pistol.
Wolf is divided into six major phases, divided into nine parts. As a suggestion, each
phase could be adapted as a great adventure. Wolf is pure exploration, because players
will only be in tunnels, doors and corridors. It would be interesting if an experienced DM,
like me, draws and/or scribbles the Episode maps.

There are six episodes, each can be used as an adventure, featuring its own boss.
Stage bosses are worth 1d+1 Experience (Daemon) and 2 extra experience points in 3D&T.
This does not change anything with the rules seen regarding experience and character
evolution in these two systems. About the six episodes:

Episode 1 – Escape from Wolfenstein

Here is the beginning of the whole adventure. Challenge the war dogs, guards, police and the
fearsome Head Guard to move on to the next castle. Your goal is to break out of Wolfenstein's prisons,
where there are many prisoners like you (NPCs or new player characters).

Episode 2 – Operation: Einfaust The

maniacal Dr. Schabbs found a way to revive some recently dead people, and that's not all; he also
implanted a firearm in the chest of the undead experiment. Find Dr. Schabbs at Hollehanmer Castle, finish
him off or else he's the one who ends up using reanimation serum on his corpse.

Episode 3 – Die, Fuhrer, Die!

Nothing better than nipping evil in the bud. End the cause of everything: Adolf Hitler. Taking refuge
in the Reichstag building, he will not be afraid to face him. Wearing a big cyber-green armor he rocks here.

Episode 4 – A Dark Secret Otto

Giftmancher is one of Hitler's several mad scientists. He developed one of the
most fearsome weapons of war, a chemical bomb. He is hiding in Erlagen Castle.

Episode 5 – Trial of the Insane Hitler is

dead (we hope) but his legacy still threatens the world. Still at Erlagen Castle, Grosse will not let
Hitler's secret plans get away.

Episode 6 - Confrontation
To complete the mission, General Fettgesicht must be stopped from releasing a sinister deadly gas,
a highly destructive chemical weapon that could still destroy the world. The plans found in the previous
castle (Episodes four and 5) lead straight to the lair of the boss and the ultimate threat in the world of
Wolfenstein.

Wolfenstein's favorite places: Kennel:

where the dogs and panthers stay. The food offered to them recovers Life Points.
Prisons: you can free your friends or NPCs who would be sentenced with gas.

Wolfenstein 3D for Daemon and 3D&T

Secret Passages: some walls are false and offer escapes to other corridors Kitchen: here where
you have the food.
Weapons Room: rooms with many different weapons of war.
Execution Room: where NPCs die from deadly gas poisoning.

Player Characters.
Building a character in Wolf3D can be something remarkable for RPG games.
Your friends should build a prison-based background in Wolf, why your character was
arrested, whether he was a spy or anything like that. It is also recommended that the DM
awards players +1pt. of Attribute or +1 in Characteristics for the player who creates a good
background!
For 3D&T, a Wolf3D character is built with 5 points (According to the rules seen for
Newbie Characters, in the Hero Chapter).
For the Daemon System, things are more complicated. A new character is built with
101 Attribute points, 4 Enhancements, 600 Skills (Regardless of age). For the love of
God, buy the Firearms (Daemon) skill or put at least a “ball” in Firepower.

In this scenario, Magic, Focus and anything related are prohibited. The Master is
free to know the advantages related to this type of power. For Daemon line players, angelic/
demonic/vampiric, psychic or other powers are prohibited. For a “solo adventure”, the ready-
made form for the spy Blazkowickz, star of Wolf3d, is below for you to use in your adventures
as a player character or NPC.

BJ Blazkowickz (12 points)

F1, H2, R1, A1, PoF2, 6 Hit Points Adapter,
Multishot, Crime.

BJ Blazkowickz (4th level Spy)

CON12, FR12, DEX14, AGI11, INT 13, WILL 10, CAR11, PER 17.

Politics 40, Espionage 40, Chemistry 30, War Tactics 20, Economy 10 .IP=4.

Enemies: There are few types of enemies in this scenario, making use of a game
with very few resources. Note: the number in parentheses (*) means the number of bullets
the enemy had.

Nazi Soldier(8): 3D&T:

F0, H1, R1, A0, PoF3, 5 Life Points Patron (Hitler),
Arena (Wolfeinsten).
Daemon: CON10, FR12, DEX11, AGI10, INT9, WILL10, CHA10, PER8 Life
Points: 10 Patronus (Hitler), Firearms 50/0 (Nazi Pistol or Rifle), Brawl 50/50 (1d3

Nazi Soldiers are the most common enemies. In addition to being Nazis, they
are stupid and can fire all ammunition; finish them off quickly, before they call for
backup.

Points:15 Nazi Machine Gun 50/0(See “Weapons”)), Brawl 50/50(1d3+3 damage).
Protection Index 4.
Combat Generals are very well-armed people, with heavy weapons and
are eager to blow the brains out of any Wolfenstein prisoner. Unlike Nazi Soldiers,
Combat Generals are soooo smart!

Zombie Soldier(0):
3D&T:F3(acid), H0, R1, A0, PoF2(fire), 10 Life Points Zombie,
Uneducated and Monstrous.
Daemon: CON17, FR22, DEX6, AGI6, INT0, WILL0, CHA1, PER1. Hit Points:18 Claws 50/0(1d6+3,
slash.), Brawl 50/50(1d3+4 damage). Protection Index 0.
The Zombie Soldiers are victims of the maniacal Dr. Schabbs, who used the bodies of dead Nazi soldiers
and are desperate for fresh meat!

Panther(0):
3D&T:F3, H3, R1, A0, PdF0, 5 Hit Points Special
Senses (Hearing, Keen Sense).
Daemon: CON10, FR9, DEX6, AGI18, INT4, WILL9, CHA7, PER13 Hit
Points:10 Claws 50/0(1d6+4, slash.), Protection Rating 0.
Sometimes the Nazis let animals loose in the castle to eat the prisoners!

Items and More Items.

In Wolf's castle there are not only weapons and monsters, there are some things
that can help players, such as first aid kits and armor, to help eliminate the Nazis. These are the
most common:
First Aid Kit: 3D&T: recovers
1d+1 Hit Points.
Daemon: recovers 1d6+5 Hit Points.
Dog Food:
3D&T: recovers 1 Life Point.
Daemon: recovers 1d3 points of Life.
Key: some doors can only be opened with a key.
Feast: recovers 5 Life Points in Daemon and 10 in 3D&T.

Weapons in Wolfenstein
Relevantly, we use the Limited Ammunition rules for 3D&T. The number in
parentheses on the enemy sheet means how many bullets you managed to collect to increase
your ammo. In Wolf3D, weapons do not have specific ammunition for each type of weapon, as
we see in Doom or Quake. And yes, the same bullet fits ALL weapons. See the (few) statistics
for weapons present in Wolf3d:

5

Wolfenstein 3D for Daemon and 3D&T

Knife: Cutting damage (3D&T) and 1d3+FR bonus (Daemon)

Nazi Pistol: equivalent to PdF1(3D&T) or a Colt Python 6.6(in Daemon)
Nazi Rifle: equivalent to PoF2(3D&T) or Steyr AUG(in Daemon)
Nazi Machine Gun: equivalent to PdF4(3D&T) and Ingram M10(in Daemon).

3D&T is a game where the PdF doesn't matter much. We recommend using an optional
Firepower rule in this scenario: characters add their POF to the POF of their weapons.
For example, BJ Blazkowickz has AP2 and picks up a Nazi Machine Gun (PdF4), his total Fire
Power will be 6 and his Attack Strength will be 1d+8 (H+current AP+weapon's AP). Remember
the rules for Limited Ammo.
Well...hopefully, with just these few rules
you will be able to run a Wolfenstein adventure or
campaign. If you have any material about the
game, send us an email, okay?
