Today’s mess, crimson store jars made from a blend of red and high-iron stoneware clay bodies. It’s ripping coarse and the first few pulls are always a little uncomfortable but once the wall are thin enough it’s just like throwing with normal clay I find, yet with the added bonus, (the grog), keeping the vessel very rigid and strong, it can be refreshing working with a stoneware that doesn’t fatigue as it’s used.
