Bedgebury Forest is a 2,600-acre forest near Flimwell in Kent. The forest has always been wooded and is classed as an ancient woodland. There are many species of butterfly, dragonfly and damselfly and plants such as the edible pignut, heath bedstraw, lousewort and colonies of common spotted orchid can be found in the forest. Birdlife includes hawfinch, turtle dove, nightjar and cuckoo.
