I created this video and blog post to share my honest review and experience making Irina Hughes Rise and Shine Felted Rooster. This is a needle felted tutorial with an optional supply kit. I did purchase the kit and enjoyed using materials that were new to me on this project. The resulting bird is stunning and well worth the time it took to complete.

I've been wanted to try dyeing wool roving for a long time. Using Easter egg dye in my microwave seemed like a fun and relatively easy wat to dip my toe in. And it worked! Watch me dye the wool and needle felt this colorful chameleon. I've included a list of the tools and supplies I used along with step by step instructions.

I am so happy with this 2D (or flat felted) needle felted barn owl kit designed by Dani Ives! This kit is a collaboration between Dani and Felted Sky. I created a video to share what is included in the kit and how my barn owl turned out.

This dryer ball served me well. But after drying clothes, the surface has loosened up. It is starting to shed wool onto my clothing. Why waste perfectly good wool when it can be a base for a bunny?
