The comics depict Taskmaster wearing his iconic skull mask. Since removing that mask wasn’t in the cards...I wanted to give some narrative context as to why he wears a skull mask. So, I thought it would be cool to treat it like a prosthetic. Perhaps he was burned or injured in battle and the mask holds his face together. That idea drove most of the visuals here.
