Constantly training but struggling to get ur first pull-up? Try this. Imagine breaking the bar in half! This will twist your elbows in and help engage your lats. Imagine trying to bring your elbows behind your back. Keep your chest up and lean back slightly. Don’t think of “pulling yourself up,” instead think of “bringing your elbows down” Ways to strengthen: 1. Assisted pull-ups 2. Scapular pull-ups 3. Negative pull-ups 4. Dead-hangs Also want to note that yes, cues are important but training to strengthen your back, arms, etc is important too!

I wish I knew this sooner...  ❌ We don't have to wait until we've developed a particular amount of strength before start training pull ups  • ❌ We don't have to reach a particular bodyweight before we start training pull ups  We can start where we are (in terms of strength) and progress from there.  And the more frequent we practice, the better we'll become...somewhat like learning to ride a bicycle. I still highly recommend getting a pullup bar or some gymnastic rings.  I rarely say this, but even if you currently lack the funds, consider saving up and investing in one that can last for years (decades, even). $30 can get a decent one.  They're just very handy.  On the other hand, if you must want a quick way to do pullups and horizontal pullups, try this!
