The Fabergé Pearl Egg was inspired by an oyster shell with a natural pearl that lives inside. With a base made of white and yellow gold, the Egg is made of rock crystal, covered with mother-of-pearl, adorned with 139 white pearls, from a pearl merchant Al-Fardan's private collection, and 3305 diamonds. Designed and created under the guidance of Carl Fabergé between 1885 and 1917.
