Morpho Didius -Male -Form Rubiginosa -Huallaga Valley, Peru -(5.5 in wingspan). Although Morpho Didius is huge(5 to 6 inches in wingspan) the intensity of it's iridescence is one of the LIGHTEST of all Blue Morphos. One of the reasons that the iridescence is so LIGHT is because it is translucent as you can see the eyespots on the backside of the wings through the front side.
