The Orichalcum or literally mountain copper is described by Plato as the metal commonly used by the Atlanteans, inhabitants of the legendary Atlantis: « The island provided most of the things necessary for life. First, all metals, hard or malleable, extracted from the soil by mine work, without mentioning the one whose only name remains today, Orichalcum.
